Welcome

Welcome to Education for Sustainable Communities and Daemen College's Sustainability Scholars' program.

The Daemen College Sustainability Scholar Program is a competitive program designed for highly qualified students interested in local and global sustainability issues.  Scholars complete common coursework and engage in community projects in Canada or Mexico with faculty at partner institutions.  The Program awards scholarships to students to fund their exchange semester.  Graduates of the program receive a six-institution certificate in Sustainable Communities and the Environment.

Applications for the Sustainability Scholars' Program are accepted throughout the year; however, completed applications for Fall semester exchanges must be received by March 15 and for Spring semester exchanges by September 30.  For questions about the program, contact Dr. Brenda Young.  Download the application here.
