Daemen College

Daemen College is located in the Town of Amherst , a first ring suburb north of and adjacent to the City of Buffalo, New York. The College is located just 6 miles from the Greater Buffalo International Airport, 11 miles from the Peace Bridge (Canadian border), 14 miles from Niagara Falls , and 100 miles from Toronto , Canada .

Daemen is diverse campus and deliberately cultivates that richness. The College offers a broad curriculum in arts and sciences and health and human services. There are 45 baccalaureate level majors, 9 post-baccalaureate and 2 post-master's certificates, 4 master's degrees, and a clinical doctorate in physical therapy (DPT). In Fall 2004, Daemen enrolled 2186 students.

In keeping with our mission "to prepare students for life and leadership in an increasingly complex world" internationalizing the curriculum and strengthening the globalization of the campus are continuing goals of Daemen College.

Daemen College Student-Faculty Interdisciplinary Research Think Tank

September 2003: Daemen Student Gabrielle Grubka, won an international essay competition run by the Canadian Government. Gabrielle, pictured left with Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, is presently studying at St. Francis Xavier University. Her success in the essay competition carries an award which will fund Gabrielle's return to Québec during spring 2004 to pursue her research into bi-lingualism in Canada.
