New Club Officers
The new officers for 2012-13 for the Pre-Law Association are Tonya Korogoda, Co-President (tatyana.korogoda@daemen.edu ), Hannah Schwartz, Co-President (hannah.schwartz@daemen.edu ), Daniella Castiglione, Vice President daniella.castiglione@daemen.edu ) and Jessica Mark, Secretary-Treasurer (jessica.mark@daemen.edu ). Dr. Lisa Parshall is the faculty advisor.
Dr. Penny Messinger is the faculty advisor for the History & Government Club. The 2012-13 officers are Tyler Vanice, President (tyler.vanice@daemen.edu ), Amie Dukuray, Vice President (amie.dukuray@daemen.edu ) and Emily Kraft Secretary-Treasurer (emily.kraft@daemen.edu )
Moot Court Experience
Each year, the Pre Law Association sponsors the Moot Court Experience, the trial of a hypothetical criminal or civil law case, at Academic Festival in April. This year, 2012, marks our 10th anniversary. The Experience, open to all majors, offers students the opportunity to hone their analytical and speaking skills through development of the arguments to present in the case and have a great time in the process! Students do all the work in terms of developing court statements and preparing and portraying lawyers & witnesses.
