Sharlene M. Buszka

Associate Professor, Department Chair

Professor Buszka, who currently chairs the Business Administration department, earned both her graduate and undergraduate degrees at The State University of New York at Buffalo. She is currently a doctoral student at Oxford Graduate School in Dayton, Tennessee.  Besides maintaining SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification, Sharlene is a member of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and BNHRA (Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association).  She is also the faculty advisor for the Daemen student SHRM Chapter.

Besides Organizational Behavior and Human Resource related courses, Professor Buszka teaches Effective Business Communications and Diversity and Cross-Cultural Management. In addition, she  teaches a service learning course which helps students further develop their cross-cultural communication skills by providing English  language tutoring to Buffalo area refugees. Professor Buszka is passionate about the need for business students to develop strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to be fully prepared professionals.
