Student Physical Therapy Association

The Daemen College Student Physical Therapy Association (SPTA) is a group of professional phase physical therapy students that together participate and operate many activities held on campus and throughout the community. The purposes of this organization include uniting students who are members of this organization in a spirit of inclusiveness, cooperation and initiative through educational, service and social activities. The SPTA also provides opportunities for members to enhance their academic and clinical knowledge of Physical Therapy and related fields, while developing the members' professional, leadership and mentor skills. Additionally the SPTA works to establish and maintain standards for the government of its student body, while raising the prestige of the Physical Therapist on the college campus, and promoting service to the community (department, college, profession, community).
