Transfer Scholar's Night

Dates: Tuesday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 13, 2015

Transfer Scholar's Night is an evening when accepted students have the opportunity to earn one of our six prestigious Trustee Scholarships in addition to their President's Scholarship.

Daemen College Trustee Transfer Scholars are nominated on the basis of academic and non-academic achievement.  Considerations of both intellect and character are given in our attempt to award individuals who will "make a difference" not just in their careers and community, but in the Daemen community as well.

Overall, we are seeking candidates who combine the following qualities:

  • Academic achievement
  • Vision-for self and society
  • Enthusiasm, inspiration - the ability to bring visions and dreams to life
  • Academic and personal discipline which motivates him/her to persist
  • Leadership ability

Every student who applies for admission to Daemen College is considered for a merit scholarship - but only those nominated are invited to apply and compete for a Trustee Scholarship.

There are six scholarship recipients each year:

  • Two $12,000 scholarships
  • Four $10,000 scholarships

(Scholarships are to be used for undergraduate tuition only. Scholarships are renewable for the duration of your undergraduate program based on GPA.)

"I think one of the most crucial aspects of the Daemen curriculum is the required internship. I was an accounting intern for both a private health care company and a certified public accounting firm. I was able to apply lessons learned in the classroom to real business situations. When my internships were over, each company offered me a full-time position."
