Daemen College thanks you for your service and welcomes you to our website. Many of your questions will be answered here, but we encourage you to take advantage of the Center for Veterans and Veteran Family Services at Daemen College for guidance.

Patrick Welch, PhD, Sgt.USMC (Ret) is Director of the Center for Veterans and Veteran Family Services at Daemen. He is uniquely knowledgeable about the many programs available to veterans and their families. Awarded a Purple Heart for combat service in Vietnam, and former Director of the Erie County Veterans Service Agency, Dr. Welch has made it his mission to ensure that veterans receive all benefits which they have earned. 

Mission Statement

To support veteran scholars and eligible family members' success in postsecondary education by coordinating services to address their academic, financial, physical and social needs.

  • There are numerous Veterans Administration and New York State Educational Assistance Programs offering financial assistance to veterans for continuing education.
  • The fact is, once accepted as a student at Daemen, many veterans may find that their tuition costs are fully covered by their benefits.
