Constituent Groups

Alumni at a gathering in Washington DC.

One of life’s most important connections.

Daemen College encourages like-minded alumni to retain and grow the bonds among them. The college experience forms alliances that ought to last a lifetime.

Thanks for connecting! These days, it’s more practical and pleasing to move beyond just alumni chapters to what we call constituent groups – like-minded alumni who share a common thread based on at least one of four criteria:

Generational – class year, era or decade

Social – clubs, Greek organizations, or events

Academic – major or department

Geographic – location

After all, it simply makes more sense that you’d want to stay more closely in touch with those who shared your interest in writing, or your allegiance to a sorority’s cause, or folks where graduated around the same time you did, right?

That’s what constituent groups are all about. This is the place to catch up on the latest news, upcoming events, and all manner of updates pertaining to your alma mater.

The Buffalo Chapter is the local constituent that plans and delivers a host of Buffalo and Western New York programs for Daemen alumnae, including, among others, the Dons Scotus Series, the Easter Bunny Brunch, and the annual Christmas Party.

Daemen’s alumni population has expanded well beyond the Western New York area, with growing populations in New York City, Rochester, Syracuse, Washington, D.C., Albany, and throughout Florida.

We know what employers expect and we make sure our students develop the professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to solve problems they need to be successful. Change is something we all confront and in these stressful economic times we know our students will have an edge over many other candidates who have not had internship experience.
