Giving through Memorials and Tributes

Gifts that have special meaning!

In one way or another, you are no doubt familiar with memorial giving.  Chances are you’ve made such gifts yourself to express sympathy to a friend or loved one.  Memorial gifts give people an opportunity to express themselves when words just don’t seem enough.  This is also true for gifts made to honor anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, or other special events.

The gifts we receive “in memory of” someone provide an important source of financial support each year.  Memorial contributions make many programs, services, and scholarships possible for our students.

Still another way to make a gift in memory of a loved one is through The Founders Walkway.  As the walkway is becoming a cherished part of campus, College alumni, faculty, trustees, parents, and friends have already inscribed special sentiments in many bricks.  These are messages engraved for posterity, special memorials, and dedications.  You may select a brick or bench to be engraved with your name or to honor or memorialize a friend, student, your children or favorite faculty members.

Many people don’t think of their will when considering a gift to Daemen College, but giving by bequest is another thoughtful way to support your alma mater.  Bequests can be specified as memorial gifts when you make your will or you may have your attorney revise your will or add a codicil to include a memorial or honor gift.

A memorial gift is a gift that takes on special meaning and memorial givers enjoy knowing their action will live on for future generations.  Remember, your gifts to Daemen College may take many forms and serve many purposes, including honoring someone you love.

Honor someone today with a thoughtful tribute.  Perhaps Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.  Clip the form below and return it to:
