Natural and Health Sciences Research Center

In December of 1999, Daemen College opened The Natural and Health Sciences Research Laboratory, a component of an on-campus science research center that focuses on applied research and product development.

This laboratory has been made possible in part through support from The George I. Alden Trust and The Edward J. Kavanaugh Foundation. In January of 2001, The James H. Cummings Foundation granted $16,500 to the Center to purchase equipment.

The Center's research projects have been awarded funding from Advanced Hyperbaric Technologies, The James R. Hayward Research Fund, The National Science Foundation, and The New York Physical Therapy Association Research Designated Fund.

The laboratory also provides consulting and third-party independent testing services to private industry.

The Center is currently undertaking research initiatives on wound healing.
