BETA (Buffalo/Niagara Emerging Technology Awards) Event

This is the premier IT awards event where approximately 500 professionals attend.  Come learn about what's happening in the WNY IT community and network, network, network where .  CIOs, entrepreneurs, hiring managers, etc. from the area's most influential companies in WNY will be there. 


Technology Showcase:  4:30 - 6:30 pm - FREE and Open to the Public (a great way to learn about local organizations at which you may intern/work one day!).  Includes "Lightning Round Speakers" and "User Group Breakouts".

BETA Awards Dinner - 7:00 pm - Tickets Required

After Party - 8:30 pm - Tickets Required

There are 12 free tickets for students, but VOLUNTEERS are needed to work the event.  Volunteer = ticket.  This is a first come, first served situation and specific volunteer time slots need to be filled.  Shifts and Tasks needed:

  • 2 - 4:15 - Showcase Registration: Help vendors to tables
  • 4 - 7:30 - Showcase Registration:  Help vendors to tables, work tradeshow entrance
  • 4 - 7:30 - Host "The Great Divide" panel from 5 - 6, Registration and tradeshow entrance the rest of the time
  • 4 - 7:30 - Host Usergroup 5:30 - 6:30, Registration and tradeshow entrance the rest of the time
  • 6 - 8:30 - Registration table, take guests to dinner tables, Tweet play by play during awards dinner

The Brunch and Learn presentation for employers focuses on best practices for recruiting, hiring, and retaining veterans and military spouses.
