Credit Limits Per Term

Intersemester:
Maximum of 6 credits are allowed.

Semesters:
Maximum of 17 credits may be taken each semester.  Some degree programs may require that 17+ credits are completed in one or more semesters.  Students planning to take more than 17 credits in a semester must file an Additional Semester Hours Request form with the Registration Office (DS120).  Students may be liable for additional tuition charges when more than 17 are taken. 

A student on the Dean's List may have the full time tuition charge cover up to and including 21 credit hours in the semester immediately following the semester during which the Dean's List status was achieved.

Summer:
Undergraduate Students: A maximum of 15 credit hours total (including Daemen courses and any taken elsewhere) may be taken in Summer.  Credit limits for Daemen summer session offerings are:

  • Session I (4 week session held in June): 6 credits
  • Session II (4 week session held in July/August): 6 credits
  • Session III (9 week session held in June through early August): 12 credits

Graduate Students: A maximum of 15 credits in total may be taken in summer.
