Message from the Dean of Arts and Sciences

Welcome to the Division of Arts and Sciences at Daemen College!

I’m not exactly an impartial observer, but I can speak with confidence and sincerity in saying that you will find the dedicated faculty and staff of our division to be caring, talented and engaging. They are totally selfless in giving of their time and talents and they recognize that our college is nothing without you, the energetic and engaged students who walk our halls and fill our classrooms.  Education is all about motivating students to realize their dreams and to reach out to others in a community of learning and giving, which extends far beyond the walls of our college.  This is the focus of what we do and we delight in working with you!

We believe that, from day one, you as a student can and should develop meaningful relationships not just with your fellow students, but also with the faculty.  Whether you’re specializing in history, mathematics, literature, languages, psychology, philosophy, religion, art, theater, graphic design or the natural sciences, you will have the opportunity not simply to get to know your teachers but to work with them on new and exciting research initiatives that will take you to prestigious conference presentations and even into professional publications.  Your preparation for the future will be second to none.
