Proficiency Exam

The Proficiency exam assesses abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing for grammar, vocabulary, culture and geography (countries & capitals) at the Intermediate Level.  Students interested in taking the proficiency exam who are NOT ENROLLED in SPA/FRE 106 must pre-register with the Chair of Modern Languages no later than two weeks before the last day of classes.   The SPA proficiency exam is held over final exam week every semester and takes place with the SPA 106 final slot/s.  In addition, all students must schedule a time for an Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI). Check with the Chair for OPI dates and times.  Students may sit the proficiency exam once.
