Mary Lou Rusin

Mary Lou Rusin, RN, EdD, ANEF has been Chairperson of the Nursing Department at Daemen College since 1987.  She holds an EdD from State University of New York at Buffalo in curriculum planning and supervision in addition to a master’s degree in child health nursing.  Dr. Rusin serves as a program evaluator for the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and is Vice Chair of that organization. She has conducted research and published in the areas of ergogenic drug abuse, RN to baccalaureate nursing education, specialized accreditation, leadership, and college and university organizational structure.  Dr. Rusin has done extensive national and international consulting in the areas of curriculum planning, evaluation, and accreditation.  In recognition of her innovative, collaborative achievements and leadership in nursing education, Dr. Rusin was inducted into the Academy of Nursing Education in 2010.
