A Professional Orientation, A Dedication to Others.

From special education teachers to athletic trainers, tax accountants to parole officers, career paths lead to many destinations for students in the Division of Health and Human Services.

Accounting/Information Systems majors crunch numbers, but also consider global issues, to become financial analysts, company comptrollers, tax accounts and more.

A Master of Science in Athletic Training lets students assume responsibility for overseeing athletes’ total health care – in just a 5-year program toward both B.S. and M.S.

Business Administration majors focus on economics, accounting, marketing, etc., but also on diversity and global management. Graduates work as market research analysts, HR managers, and more.

Future teachers in the Education program study childhood/early childhood & special education, and visual arts education, with certification opportunities in several areas. You’ll enjoy extensive service-learning experiences, too.

Health Care Studies covers all aspects of practical health care delivery. Choose from concentrations in Health & Fitness Training, Complementary and Alternative Health Care Practices – and leverage exceptional service-learning opportunities and professional internships.

The Nursing Partner Program allows future nurses to earn both their Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree in 4 years.

Physical Therapy at Daemen is nationally recognized, and the Doctorate in Physical Therapy is obtained after 6 years. We’re the first small liberal arts college in the state accredited to offer the DPT. Studies span orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics, tissue mechanics, sports medicine, wound healing and more.

Our Physician Assistant program prepares students to become licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. Strong growth is projected in the profession, where PA’s do everything from write prescriptions to assist in surgery. Extensive service-learning opportunities include an annual trip to the Dominican Republic.

Students interesting in shaping communities will find Daemen’s Social Work program ideal. Practical opportunities abound, including participation in the Seneca Babcock Community Initiative. Graduates enjoy careers as counselors, therapists, probation/parole officers, school social workers and in other human service areas.
