Message from the Dean

Michael Brogan

In Daemen’s rich history as an institution of higher learning, I cannot recall a more exciting time for the fields of Healthcare and Human Services. As these fields advance, the demand for new graduates entering said professions rapidly increases. As Dean of this division, I feel an immense sense of pride watching the growth of an individual from young student, to successful graduate, and finally, to in-demand professional.

Throughout your time here, you will develop the creativity and sensitivity necessary to maintaining a career in the health and humanities fields.  As a student, you will be able to witness and apply the relevance of what is taught in the classroom through a number of off-campus experiences, such as internships, student teaching, and practical exposure, depending on your chosen field.  Low faculty-to-student ratios foster strong relationships and ensure support throughout the duration of the educational experience. As a student, you will never be alone on this journey. You will have the full commitment of our dedicated faculty and staff and we will assist you each step of the way in achieving your professional goals.

I encourage you to stop in, ask questions, and get to know me and all the faculty and staff of the Division of Health and Human Services.  I look forward to your future here, as I witness your educational development. It is with great excitement that I graciously welcome you to Daemen College’s Division of Health and Human Services!
