Social Work

Social Work Students

Social Work is one of the fastest growing professions in the country due to an increasing need for health and aging-related services as well as child, family, school, and court-based supports. Students who choose Social Work as their undergraduate degree program are prepared to be professionally responsible beginning generalist practitioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to intervene on behalf of diverse groups.

Through the integration of classroom instruction, community-based learning opportunities, and extracurricular activities, students are prepared for leadership in the community and in the profession. Graduates work in many different positions including court advocate, mental health therapist, probation parole officer, child welfare worker, service coordinator, school social worker, addictions counselor, and much more. Earning a degree in Social Work will also prepare you to work in a variety of settings including schools, health clinics, hospitals, courts, care facilities, and non-profit organizations locally, nationally, and internationally.

Students taking Graduate coursework in the Social Work program
are eligible for a thirty (30)% discount against the full tuition rate,
effective with the 2015 Fall semester.
