And you're right! Who else might want to study Spanish?
- Future Social Workers.

year, the fall or spring semester, the January term, the January term
plus the spring semester or for one or two four-week sessions in the summer.
In recent years Daemen students have tried all of these options and the
student response has been unanimously positive. Seville is one of Spain's
most beautiful cities, combining the rich tradtions of Roman, Muslim and
Christian Spain. It is also a fabulous modern city. Classes at the Center
are small and cover all aspects of the language, literature, history and
culture of Spain. Professionally relevant courses are offered as well.
Visit the web site for more information! The Center also offers
programs in Havana, Cuba which are currently on hold due to changes in
US government policy. Check with the website for updates.
And in Fall 2005 the Center for Cross-Cultural Studies will inaugurate
a program in Argentina? Daemen
is partnered with two great Mexican Universities. Universidad LaSalle
in Mexico City and Universidad de Guanajuato offer a full range of academic
courses as well as Spanish language acquisition courses for foreigners.
Check out the websites and decide if the incredible vitality of Mexico
City with its museums, parks, shops, cathedrals and clubs is for you as
you study at LaSalle Universidad
LaSalle or you might prefer thesmaller historic city of Guanajuato
which offers a Seventeenth Century colonial atmosphere combined with Twenty
First Century modernity. Guanajuato blends the best of charming
Spanish architecture and dynamic Mexican progress in the Arts and Business.
Universidad de Guanajuato
Living
in a Spanish speaking country gives students the opportunity to experience
the culture, see how business is transacted, know the people, learn to
use the language in a variety of situations and refine their fluency.
In most cases, (with the addition of air fare and spending money) study
abroad is similar in cost to Daemen tuition. Some scholarship money is
available for study abroad and students are urged to check with Financial
Aid to determine what additional funds they can use to finance this very
important aspect of their college years
