Pre-Law (Minor)
What Makes It Great
The Pre-Law Minor at Daemen College addresses two key recommendations by the American Bar
Association (ABA): While the ABA “does not recommend any particular group of undergraduate
majors, or courses, that should be taken by those wishing to prepare for legal education; it does
emphasize that “there are important skills and values and significant bodies of knowledge that can
be acquired prior to law school and that will provide a sound foundation for a sophisticated legal
education.”At Daemen, students may major in any subject they wish paired with a Pre-Law minor
that provides a rigorous course of study in preparation for law school.
