Curriculum Objectives
• Gain basic knowledge and skills to make mathematical contributions to society in the form of pure mathematics or mathematics applied to the other disciplines.
• Apply abstract mathematical concepts to various fields, and increase their mathematical intuition.
• Enhance critical thinking in situations involving judgments based on data and stimulate independent thinking that requires research.
• Prepare students for graduate school and careers in the applied mathematics field and education.
• Communicate mathematical ideas effectively.
• Recognize the importance of the field of mathematics on the scientific development of several civilizations and cultures.
