Additionally, we asked the Class of 2006 for the following information:
"What individual(s) at Daemen most influenced you during your college years? In what ways did this individual(s) influence you?"
I am very pleased to share the following information with you. The number in parenthesis indicates multiple acknowledgements. Some statements pertained to more than one person.
Individuals cited by the Class of 2006
Bunce, Carol, Canadian Scholars Program: She is a phenomenal instructor. She is so passionate about her work and this clearly comes across in her teaching. She taught us how to be firm, fair and compassionate all at the same time.
Danbrook, Carol, Canadian Scholars Program: (2) She motivates her students to make math fun. She is full of ideas and techniques to demonstrate to students how math is incorporated into every day life and how much fun it can be.
Fabricawicz, Anne, Canadian Scholars Program: She is very helpful and supportive. She gives lots of positive feedback, and constructive criticism. You always know where you stand with her and she is very understanding and open to new ideas. She is a true asset to the teaching profession.
Faunce, Jeffrey, Canadian Scholars Program: (2) He was great in the classroom. He was easily the best instructor I have had at any level. He cared deeply about his students and never seemed to be simply “dispensing information.” He went above and beyond the call of duty in preparing us for the real world of teaching and he provided a great personal reference. He has excellent teaching abilities, is supportive to all students and is always available. He has passion for education and knowledge in his area of teaching. He is highly structured, organized and interactive.

Canadian Scholars Program: (3) Excellent program! I would highly recommend Daemen to other Canadian students for the quality of the instructors and the program. ALL of the teachers gave me something to either think about, be aware of or make me realize that teaching is definitely the chosen path for me. I have not regretted my decision to change careers…it just keeps getting better and better everyday. I am learning just as much, if not more than the students themselves!
