With an average class size of 18 and a student-faculty ratio of 15:1, there’s no falling between the cracks at Daemen College! Our classes are all taught by professors, not teaching assistants, and each of our students receives a personal educational experience that challenges and encourages them to pursue their passions and achieve their academic goals.

Learning Communities
Who wants to spend four years in a variety of Lecture Halls surrounded by a bunch of strangers? We don’t, and our guess is that you don’t either! That’s why Daemen offers our core classes in a Learning Community format. This format allows our students to move through their core curriculum in smaller groups made up of students from a variety of different backgrounds with differing majors and extra-curricular interests. This way our students gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of core subjects and special topics in a setting that’s conducive to real participation and learning.

Service Learning requirements and abundant international studies opportunities are just a few of the ways Daemen facilitates a true liberal arts education. Our students are challenged and encouraged to connect real-world experience with classroom learning in order to more fully understand the roles they can play in their local and global communities.

Students at Daemen are all encouraged to take advantage of their unique position in life and international studies. Whether for a year, a semester, or even just a summer, students in all majors are provided numerous opportunities for studying away. Through established partnerships and top notch international studies programs our students literally study around the globe.

Cross Register
Students at Daemen can also enroll in courses at other colleges in the Western New York Consortium of Colleges. Cross registration enables Daemen College students to enrich their programs of study by taking specialized undergraduate courses available only at other campuses.
