There’s more to being a student than just sitting in a classroom or studying at the Library. Discovering the core of who you are, cultivating your hidden talents, taking new risks and challenging yourself to grow are also part of the job description! That’s why at Daemen we encourage all of our students to become actively engaged in our campus community and do their part to affect the climate of our institution.

Learning and Living
College life is all about tackling issues both inside and outside the classroom. There is no better way to do this than as part of a thoughtful, caring community. At Daemen our community is made up of both our students and our faculty and they work together to create an environment where everyone challenged to grow personally as well as academically.

Home Away From Home
Dorms are places to stash your gear, study and sleep, but our residence halls are much more than this! Daemen residence halls are places where just about everything and anything can happen, from dances and movie marathons to small-group late-night study sessions. Plus, you get to choose your living arrangements – experience good old campus living in Canavan Hall, or try out an apartment style arrangement in the Campus Village.

Be Active
From NAIA varsity sports to rugby and intramural hockey, Daemen offers a variety of sports and recreational opportunities for all students. Plus, our students have free access to our local YMCA! Since the YMCA is directly across the street from us you can easily go for swim, play a game of racquetball or use their fitness center to stay healthy and active. Of course, sticking around campus and lifting weights, squeezing in a cardio workout, or enjoying a sauna in our fitness complex is always an option too!

Arts & Entertainment
Visual and performing arts are an integral part of campus life at Daemen. From concerts and plays to student and professional art shows, we are always encouraging our students to develop and express their creative talents.

With over 50 student organizations the possibilities for involvement at Daemen are limitless. Whether your interests are in art or skiing there is bound to be something here that grabs your interest and introduces you to students who share similar passions.

New York Living
Daemen is perfectly situated! We are tucked safely into the heart of Amherst, yet we are only a few minutes from Buffalo, and a stones throw from the life and culture of places like Toronto. We are also surrounded by some of the greatest wilderness areas western New York has to offer and the waters of Lake Erie are only 15 minutes away! So whether you’re in the mood for Broadway originated plays, skiing, or a quiet evening in a local coffee shop, at Daemen you can have it all!
