Canavan Hall
Living in Canavan Hall is one Daemen College tradition you don’t
want to miss out on! Canavan is a traditional five story suite-style
co-ed residence hall for first-year students. Two bedrooms share
a bathroom and each floor has a lounge, full kitchen facilities,
and laundry facilities. Trained Residence Life staff members live
in Canavan Hall and are available to assist students with their
social, academic, and personal needs. Resident students work with
staff to plan and conduct programs and activities designed to enhance
cooperation and develop a sense of community in the residence halls.
Campus Village
The Campus Village is a fun complex of seven co-ed apartment-style
buildings that provide housing for our upper-class students. Each
apartment houses four students and consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms,
a living room and a full kitchen. Residence Life staff members are
also available in the Campus Village.
Daemen College Housing Residency Requirement
All full-time freshmen entering Daemen College are required to reside
on campus for four consecutive semesters. Some exceptions are made,
but campus living is a wonderful and worthwhile experience for all
students!
Parking
Adequate parking is available for resident students who need to
park their automobiles on campus. All vehicles must be registered
with the College and no-fee parking permits are required.
Dining
Full service meals are served in the main dining hall, and an a
la carte selection is open to all in the Cyber Cafe.
Wick Student Center
How about a game of pool or a cup of coffee to go? Perhaps a movie
better suits your mood, or are you ready to dance? In the Wick Student
Center you’ll find it all. The recreation room has pool tables,
ping pong, foosball, and other games while the Cyber Cafe offers
a large screen TV, DJ booth, and a dance floor. The Wick Center
also houses a multi-purpose social room, an information desk, several
lounges and meeting rooms, the Student Association office, and several
administrative staff offices. Regardless of your mood you’ll
always find something to do here!
Commuter Life
Planning to commute to Daemen? Commuter students are vital to our
campus community and are encouraged to become actively involved
in student organizations and activities. Keep in touch with what’s
happening on campus by checking out SLICE, our weekly student activities
e-mail newsletter, or by keeping up with the activity boards on
campus, and the Daemen Website. Private lockers are also provided
for commuter students in the Wick Student Center.
