heritage, its cultural vitality, and its professional sports teams.
Take advantage or our art galleries, history and science museums,
zoo and a botanical garden, theaters, jazz clubs, music groups,
philharmonic orchestra, and professional football, hockey, and baseball
teams. Plus, the Artpark, Chautauqua, and Niagara-on-the-Lake festivals
combine with other special events to enrich Western New York’s
cultural and intellectual life.

Adventure
For those who love the outdoors, the Lake Erie and Lake Ontario

slopes are only an hour’s drive away. The Genesee River Gorge,
the Finger Lakes, and the Southern Tier woods and waterways also
offer nearby outdoor recreation year-round. Adventure of another
kind can always be found at the Darien Lake and Niagara Falls theme
parks.
Transportation
Buffalo’s metropolitan area bus system serves the Daemen College
campus, and the Buffalo subway runs from downtown to Main Street
-- less than a mile away from Daemen.
