Admissions Process

 

Prior to Application

  • College Fairs: Attend a college fair with your student at his/her school or come to Daemen College's College Night.

  • Come to Campus: It is important to see any school you student is thinking about attending. To visit Daemen college you can register for one of our upcoming events or schedule a campus tour and meeting with an admissions counselor

  • Meet Your Admissions Counselor: This counselor is going to be your main contact within the admissions office for information about applying, application status, financial aid and scholarships, and ultimately enrolling.

Applying

  • Fill out an Application: Fill out the common application for multiple schools at once or fill out Daemen College's free online application.

  • Request Official Transcripts: This should be done through your student's college counselor or guidance office. Transfer students will want to contact their current or former college's registrar office.

  • Send in your Test scores: Daemen College is test optional but if your student is choosing to submit their scores it is important to contact College Board to forward your official scores.

  • Recommendations: Send in your recommendations with attention to the Admissions Office:

After You Apply

  • File FAFSA and TAP forms: Complete your FAFSA in January 2015. The FAFSA is your ticket to all the financial assistance for which you are eligible. You can submit your FAFSA on the web, www.fafsa.ed.gov. Be sure to enter our full name and school code “Daemen College 002808” in the college release and certification section. The code for Daemen College is 002808.  For any questions please contact the Office of Financial Aide.

After Acceptance

  •  Apply for Scholars Day: Scholar’s Day at Daemen College is a day when nominated prospective students have the opportunity to compete for one of our twelve prestigious Trustee Scholarships.

  • Attend Accepted Students Day: Get a closer look at the world of Daemen and take the chance to get to know other future Daemen  students!

  • Submit Tuition Deposit: Submitting your $100 tuition deposit will reserve your student's seat for the coming semester, early deposits can be crucial for garunteeing a spot in high demand programs such as Physicians Assistance and the 1-2-1 Nursing Program

  • Submit Housing Deposit: For those students that want to live on campus this $100 deposit will garuntee them a place in the residence hall

  • Health Form and Immunization: Upon acceptance to the College, the student will be sent a Student Health Form. Each new student is required to have a physical examination conducted within the past year. In accordance with New York State law, any student born on or after January 1, 1957, must submit proof of immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella. Students will not be allowed to register for classes until this documentation is on file in the Health and Insurance Services Office.

  • Follow up with Financial Aid

  • Register for Orientation

  • Move in Day

  • First Day of Class
