Welcome to the Daemen College parents and families webpage. The Daemen College Parent and Family Connection was formed in recognition of the unique role that parents and family members play in the success of a student’s college experience. The purpose of the Parent and Family Connections webpage is to be a point of contact, enhance communication, and to engage family members in support of Daemen College.
Dear Parents:
As President of Daemen College I want to encourage you to explore an exciting learning experience. Daemen College excels in preparing students for professional success, intellectual rigor, and commitment to the well-being of their communities. In today’s world a successful college education needs to prepare students for excellence in all three areas and to do so within a challenging and nurturing environment. The College provides exceptionally strong and engaging majors and the breadth of knowledge and experience that enable our graduates to stand out in all areas of life. All offices work together to fully engage students and to provide them with an education that is integrated and global.
Daemen College also places emphasis on staying ahead of the curve. That is why less than three years ago we built the Research and Information Commons, the hub of the campus. It replaces the old library with a new, award-winning building that is multi-functional, focused exclusively on students’ needs and development, and is state of the art technology. It also is an award winning green building, whose architectural design is nationally acclaimed. Our new Center for the Visual and Performing Arts and the new International Center for Excellence in Animation continue this push to be the standard in higher education. The same is true for all majors in the professional program (from health to business to education), arts and sciences, and humanities. Adding to the overall students experience is the opportunity to enrich one’s professional possibilities and intellectual excellence by studying and working overseas for short or long periods of time. The campus has students from over 40 countries.
Equally important, our graduates are prepared for the challenges that this rapidly changing employment market presents. That is why our graduates find positions in their chosen profession or in graduate school soon after graduation.
