Transfer Scholar's Day is a day when accepted students have the opportunity to earn one of our six prestigious Trustee Scholarships in addition to their President's Scholarship.
Daemen College Trustee Transfer Scholars are nominated on the basis of academic and non-academic achievement. Considerations of both intellect and character are given in our attempt to award individuals who will "make a difference" not just in their careers and community, but in the Daemen community as well.
Overall, we are seeking candidates who combine the following qualities:
- Academic achievement
- Vision-for self and society
- Enthusiasm, insipiration-the ability to bring visions and dreams to life
- Academic and personal discipline which motivates him/her to persist
- Leadership ability
Every student who applies for admission to Daemen College is considered for a merit scholarship - but only those nominated are invited to apply and compete for a Trustee Scholarship.
There are six scholarship recipients each year:
- Two $4,000 scholarships
- Four $2,000 scholarships
(Scholarships are to be used for undergraduate tuition only. Scholarships are renewable for the duration of your undergraduate program based on GPA.)

Who Can Apply to Transfer Scholar's Day?
Prospective transfer students are invited to apply for the Trustee Scholarships.
How to Apply to Transfer Scholar's Day?
Students are nominated on the basis of academic and non-academic achievement. They then must complete a Transfer Scholar's Day application and interview on campus during Scholar's Day (Unfortunately, there are no make-up dates).
Transfer Scholar's Day Schedule
A complete schedule will be mailed to the candidate prior to the event
- 8:00-9:00am Registration and Recognition Breakfast
- 9:00am-12:00pm Student Interviews (Students will be scheduled for a 30 minute interview.)
Tours and special events are planned for students and parents throughout the morning.
