So you have seen us around campus in those yellow shirts and at TGIF parties but probably wonder what exactly we do… The Student Alumni Ambassadors assist the Alumni Relations Office at a variety events throughout the year both on-campus and off-campus at chapter events. The ambassadors host events, welcome guests (including alumni, parents, and friends of the college), and ensure that their visit is pleasant. Ambassadors participate on planning committees for Homecoming and Family weekend, Alumni Weekend, assist with the Charles McDougald Run, and the Easter Bunny Brunch. The program allows members to take part in rare opportunities to meet a variety of interesting individuals (in the past people such as Spike Lee, Ice-T, Naomi Wolf, Comedian Bobby Collins, Rob Sullivan, Pat Buchanan). An applicant for the program should be relatively comfortable speaking with strangers, dedicated, and reliable. As a Student Alumni Ambassador you will be representing the current Daemen student. Many Alumni gauge the college’s progress on the quality of student they encounter. Therefore we ask that you allow the Alumni Relations Director to confirm that you are a current full-time student with a semester and cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
