A splendid range of athletic and recreational opportunities helps make Daemen College a true home away from home – providing fun and fitness in a great collegial atmosphere.
There’s a time for everything – and right now it’s time to put down your books and laptops and pick up a volleyball, softball, or ping pong paddle! Of course, that’s just the tip of the recreational iceberg at Daemen.
Achieving balance means knowing when to study Chaucer – and when to chase a soccer ball! The college’s intramural and recreation opportunities are richly varied, embracing the core belief that a sound mind means little if it’s not within a sound body. Plus, good old-fashioned fun never goes out of style!
Intramural sporting opportunities, including one-day tournaments and special events, include a recreation room with pool tables, table tennis and foosball. For those interested in working up a mightier sweat, there’s touch football, basketball, volleyball, softball and soccer.
Have a yen for karate? Leaning toward yoga? In the mood for some dancing? These and other recreational pursuits are always in store at Daemen College.
Fortunately, as well, we’re located in a community plentiful with parks. Pools, rivers and lakes offer swimming and boating. Tennis courts, cross country trails and downhill ski slopes are additional recreational options. And there are those of the spectator kind, too, should you prefer to sit it out and take in a professional Buffalo Bills football or Buffalo Sabres hockey game.
Daemen believes its students should be culturally oriented, professionally trained – and given generous doses of physical activity and fun, too! Enjoy it all right here, through our strong Intramurals and Recreation program.
