Buffalo Harbor Party Cruise
7:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Buses leave Wick Center at 5:30 PM
Buses begin boarding at 5:30 and will leave Wick Center at 5:45 PM. Those who purchased presale tickets can pick them up at Wick Desk right before boarding the buses. BRING ID! (The crew will only serve those over 21 WITH ID!) Dress for comfort and warmth -- the boat is mostly open with only tarp windbreakers.

Be a part of the Daemen College Graduation Yearbook. We pay for the sitting fee, and send each participant a complimentary copy of the book. All you have do to is grab a seat for a 30 second shot!

Yes, you need to attend! (You do NOT need to bring your cap & gown, however, you should have already picked up your pre-ordered attire from the Bookstore by now.)

Baccalaureate Ceremony & Reception
7:30 PM, Wick Social Room
Baccalaureate Awards Ceremony begins at 7:30 PM in Wick Social Room. Seniors are presented various academic departmental and campus-wide awards. (Seniors meet in the Cyber Cafe at 7:00 PM for processional lineup.) Baccalaureate Reception begins at 8:30 PM in Wick Dining Room. Live music, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and refreshments served. This dress-up affair is always a highlight of Graduation Week!

   Saturday, May 17th

Daemen College Commencement
2:30 PM - 4:00 PM, Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo
1 PM - Outside doors open to Kleinhan's lobby. 1:30 PM - Line up begins (Graduates need to be in the Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans) Doors open to Kleinhan's auditorium for general seating. 2:30 PM - Commencement begins. (ceremony lasts about 2 hours)

Sent mail and email received before the beginning of the spring 2008 semester will not be accessible through gmail. You may still use atmail or emumail to read old email.

GMAIL is not available for faculty or staff at this time. Please continue to use your POP client (such as Eudora, Outlook or Thunderbird) as before from your own computer, and atmail when travelling.

Library Extends Hours for Final Exams April 21 - May 9: OPEN EVERY NIGHT UNTIL MIDNIGHT

Sunday - 1:00pm to midnight
Monday to Friday - 8:00am to midnight
Saturday - 10:00am to midnight


Graduating Students EXIT INTERVIEW: Graduating Students who borrowed a Federal Stafford Loan are required to complete an EXIT INTERVIEW session to review your rights and responsibilities as a loan borrower upon graduation. This years EXIT INTERVIEW can be done online using the steps outlined below:

1. Visit http://MappingYourFuture.org (no "www").
2. Click on the "complete Online Student Loan Counseling" link on the left.
3. Click on the "Stafford exit" link.
4. Select "New York" in the down-down menu and click continue.
5. Select "DAEMEN COLLEGE - Amherst, NY" and click continue.
6. Read the content of the counseling session and answer the questions in each section to ensure understanding of your rights and responsibilities as a loan borrower.
7. Complete and print the Borrower Information Form for your records.

The session will last approximately 25 minutes. If you have any questions, please contact the Financial Aid Office at (716) 839-8254.


Students interested in taking the SPANISH proficiency exam who are not enrolled in SPA 106 must PRE-REGISTER with Dr. Fiori [mfiori@daemen.edu] no later than noon on Friday, April 25th 2008 for one of the following times: Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 2:10 PM to 5:00 PM, Room B207 --or-- Friday, May 9, 2008 from 8:00 AM to 10:50 PM, Room B207.
