Lucy A. Cook Named Director of Community Relations for Daemen
College

| Daemen College has named Lucy A. Cook director of community relations for the Daemen Center for Sustainable Communities and Civic Engagement. Cook was most recently senior resource development director & project manager for the Office of Strategic Planning for the City of Buffalo. She has 25 years of management experience in not-for-profit organizations, both neighborhood-based and on a regional/national level. In her new position Cook will be responsible for managing and directing all community relations for Daemen and its West Side Community Partnership Office, as well as the College’s Center for Community Excellence in Buffalo’s Seneca Babcock neighborhood. Additional responsibilities will also include grant writing; fundraising; organizational development; program development; and growing the existing organizations. Cook holds a bachelor of science degree from Empire State College. She is a member of the board of directors of Keep WNY Beautiful; the Delaware Park Steering Committee; National Association of Olmstead Parks; Preservation Action; Buffalo Olmstead Parks Conservancy; and the Massachusetts Avenue Project.
