Run & Fitness Walk

Daemen Announces Ninth Annual Charles E. McDougald Memorial 5K
The 9th running of the Charles E. McDougald Memorial 5K Run and Fitness Walk is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2005, at Daemen College. A Kids Dash, beginning at 10:30 on the Daemen campus, will again precede the race. Both events are open to the public, and will start and finish on Main Street in front of the College, 4380 Main Street, in Amherst. These events honor the memory of Buffalo Police Officer Charles E. McDougald, a 1985 Daemen graduate. All event proceeds benefit the Charles McDougald Scholarship Fund at Daemen College.

Advanced registration for the 5K run and walk will be available. This year's event will again feature categories for police runners. Pre-registration forms will be available in early October in the foyer at Rosary Hall on the Daemen campus, 4380 Main Street, Amherst, and at area races. Race information can be obtained from the Daemen College Alumni Relations Office, 839-8212.
