Daemen College Students, Snyder Fire Department, and Amherst Police Department to Present Dramatic Car Crash Re-Enactment
To kick off the beginning of the academic year by raising the issue of alcohol awareness, Daemen College Resident Assistants are again collaborating with the Snyder Fire Department to present a dramatic car crash re-enactment this Tuesday evening, October 4, at 7:00 p.m., behind Wick Center on the Daemen College campus.

The Snyder Fire Department will bring two wrecked cars, and have them prepared for the production by removing the glass, and gas tank. Emergency vehicles – including Twin Cities ambulances -- will arrive on campus and audience members will observe the Snyder Fire Department's emergency response actions.

The Amherst Police Department will once again participate in this annual event, re-enacting an investigation and arrest of the driver at this mock DWI incident. Daemen College counselors will also be present to assist as needed. The script involves both prepared text for the actors in the car, as well as dialogue by emergency personnel (they are also using this as a training exercise), and a student narrator. This is planned as a rain or shine event.
