Daemen Names Cheryl Littlejohn Tele-Education Coordinator
Daemen College has named Cheryl Littlejohn tele-education coordinator. Littlejohn most recently managed media programs and video technology assisting instructional and informational programming for Community School 53 in Buffalo. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in art education, from Daemen College.
In her new position, Littlejohn will be responsible for continuing to develop and coordinating the growing educational teleconferencing programs at Daemen, and then marketing them to high schools and professional education constituencies throughout Western New York.
While with Community School 53, some of Littlejohn's accomplishments included planning and implementation of a media program, using video technology, to strengthen student literacy (key collaborators included WNED-TV and General Motors); securing funds for the creation of a smoking cessation program for teens; integrating technology into school curriculum; and, through a collaboration with School19 Native American, School 45 Multi-cultural Center, VIVE La Casa, and School 53, presenting a music cultural exchange by the Peruvian band Inca Son.
She has also held positions with Preventionfocus of Buffalo; VIVE La Casa (a non-profit agency that assists world refugees); and worked as a free lance multimedia instructor for community-based organizations.
Littlejohn is a resident of Buffalo.
