Award Winning Photojournalist Collection on Exhibit at Daemen College
Special Assistant to the President
Daemen College Entrepreneurial Program Coordinator and Emmy Award winning photojournalist, Ms. Cathaleen Curtiss will have her photography artwork showcased at Daemens Haberman Gacioch Visual and Performing Arts Center from November 7th through December 31st.
Curtiss, a former Vice President of Global Photography at AOL, recently turned hertalents to making compelling images using her iPhone.
The daily iPhone photo project is my personal creative and active pursuit of "seeing" good everyday, said Curtiss from her office in the Daemen College Wick Campus Center. A visually recorded diary of seeing one thing each day to appreciate enough to slow down for even a split second to observe. Life is short so it is good to reflect on our journey. My commitment to this ongoing project is like many entrepreneurship goals, pursuing, creating and believing in your vision every day.
Ms. Curtiss went on to say: I am honored to have my iPhone photography collection on exhibit at the Haberman Gacioch Center in partnership with Daemens Digital Photography program. But I am especially proud that Daemen Digital Photography students curated this exhibit and shaped it for the public to appreciate at our beautiful Visual and Performing Arts Center.
As a photojournalist, Ms. Curtiss has documented events from Super Bowls to superpower summits covering three Presidential administrations while handling daily assignments and international news. Cathaleen Curtiss is an active member of the National Press Photographers Association and the White House News Photographers Association.
