Daemen business administration student Ashley Grant was named the Human Resource Student of the Year by the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association (BNHRA). Ashley received the award at the Association’s annual dinner at Adams Mark Hotel April 10, 2013. In addition, she received a $500 scholarship from the BNHRA.

The BNHRA is the pre-eminent human resources professional organization in Western New York. The organization represents more than 600 professionals and student members, and over 300,000 employers in the Western New York community.

“Ashley is a wonderful example of the type of student Daemen cultivates,” said Daemen Associate Professor of Business Administration Sharlene M. Buszka.

“She is president of our student Society for Human Resource Management chapter, works in our Career Services office, has organized numerous campus events, acted as a tour guide, raised money for multiple charities, and participated in many community service events,” Buszka added.

“We are very proud of Ashley. She represents the values and character of Daemen College.”
