Daemen College Has Named Ellen White to the Daemen Board of Trustees

Daemen College has named Ellen White to the Daemen Board of Trustees.

White recently joined Moog Aircraft Group as Executive Director, Commercial Aftermarket. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, and an Executive Masters from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Ellen brings more than 20 years of professional leadership in her field, substantial business and marketing expertise, and a long record of accomplishment. She also brings a demonstrated commitment to multiculturalism to Daemen College; our students, and the entire Daemen community will benefit from Ellen’s leadership and experience. We are very pleased that she accepted our invitation to join the Board.”

Ellen White recently joined Moog Aircraft Group as Executive Director, Commercial Aftermarket. In her new position, White will oversee the Moog Aircraft Group Commercial Aftermarket Business global expansion, with immediate focus on the Pacific Rim and the Middle East; development of new business models and high value technical services that will simplify airline customers’ maintenance support; and strengthening the Moog brand in the aftermarket space. White will be leading a team of 20 aftermarket professionals located in the USA, the UK, Germany, Abu Dhabi, India, Singapore and China. In the near term she is leading efforts to introduce comprehensive service offerings for Moog’s Primary Flight Control Systems onboard the Boeing 787.

Prior to this, White held a range of high-level engineering and project management positions in the aerospace industry. These included Vice President, Marketing and Service, for Triumph Aftermarket Services, Phoenix, AZ (2004 – 2007); Vice President, Engineering Services, for CDI Corporation, a provider of engineering outsourcing and staffing solutions based in Phoenix, AZ and Philadelphia, PA (2000 – 2004); and 15 years with Honeywell Aerospace, Phoenix, AZ (1985-2000). White’s positions with Honeywell included serving as Director of New Business Development, Product Line Manager, and Integrated Product Development Service Manager. In addition, her leadership of a New Product Development Team resulted in winning two team patents. In 2003 she received the GE Supplier Six Sigma Blackbelt: Best Project Award; and in 1998 White was recognized with the Honeywell Business Growth Award.

She has been an invited speaker at the Aviation Week MRO Conference: Atlanta,
Georgia: Managing Aircraft Maintenance Conference series in Europe and the USA (2006-2007); Bombardier Economic Summit (2006) ; Mumbai PMA Symposium (2006) ; 2001 Paris Air Show; and ASU International Corporate Leaders Program.

White has conversational proficiency in French and Mandarin Chinese. She is a resident of Elma.
