Daemen College is offering a Bachelor of Science in Arts Administration degree, with an option for a Master of Science in Arts Administration. The M.S. degree may be completed in a year; students entering the degree program as undergraduates will be encouraged to pursue the option of taking an additional year to complete the graduate-level degree.
High school graduates enrolling in the B.S. degree program, and undergraduates entering the Master’s level degree, should be in good academic standing. Graduate students enrolling for the MS should have a demonstrable interest in the arts; possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution; and completed prerequisite studies in Arts and Business Administration as specified by the Arts Administration director.
“The Daemen Visual and Performing Arts Department is offering this program with the goal of expanding the range of career options available to students who are passionate about the arts,” noted Daemen Assistant Professor of Theater Arts and Arts Administration Program Director Robert Waterhouse.
“Additionally, the Department has strong links to a wide network of arts organizations and not-for-profit organizations, both nationally and internationally, many of whom seek qualified, enthusiastic administrators. Graduates possessing this degree will be very well-positioned for career advancement with a wide range of arts organizations.
