Daemen College Offers Paralegal Studies Orientation February 22

Daemen College will host a Paralegal Studies orientation, open to anyone interested in becoming a paralegal or learning more about Daemen’s Paralegal Studies program.  The  orientation will be held 6 p.m., Wednesday, February 22nd, in Room 101 of the Research & Information Commons (RIC) on the Daemen College campus, 4380 Main Street in Amherst.  For more information contact Margaret Phillips, Margaret.phillips@daemen.edu, (716) 839-8283.


The Daemen College Paralegal Studies program provides intensive preparation in paralegal coursework such as legal research and writing, law office technology, and specific areas of law to learn the practical skills in demand in today’s legal environment.

• Daemen offers courses taught by highly qualified practicing attorneys who are very experienced in their field, allowing the student to have a bird’s eye view of different legal specialties.


• Daemen features a strong liberal arts core curriculum to develop the skills demanded of today’s professionals (communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving).


• In each paralegal course students will have the opportunity to do at least one concrete, work-oriented task which will subsequently become part of the student’s portfolio and a job-seeking tool.
