Daemen Film Series Begins September 26 With “Brief Encounter”

            The 2011/2012 Daemen College Film Series will begin Monday, September 26, 2011, with a showing of David Lean’s “Brief Encounter.” The award-winning drama, based on the Noel Coward Play, is set in pre-WWII England and examines British middle class marriage, morals, and love. Post-film commentary will be by Claudia Nowak, Daemen College.

 

            All films in the Daemen College Film Series are shown 7 p.m. on Monday evenings in Alumni Lounge in Wick Center on the Daemen campus, 4380 Main Street, in Amherst. They are free and open to the public.
