Daemen to Host Mock Trial Tournament on Fracking

AMHERST, N.Y. -- High school students from throughout Western New York will compete in the annual Erie County Bar Association High School Mock Trial Tournament being hosted at Daemen College from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 1 in the Wick Campus Center Social Room.

Participating students from nearly 40 schools will serve as attorneys and witnesses in the simulated trial on fracking and its effect on water. The tournament winner, which will be recognized at the bar association’s Law Day Luncheon, will advance to the regional tournament.

The event is being sponsored by the Daemen Paralegal Studies Program.
