AMHERST, N.Y. -- Dr. Greg J. Nayor has been appointed vice president for student affairs and dean of students at Daemen College after a national search, announced Daemen President Gary A. Olson. His appointment is effective May 31.

“Daemen is very fortunate to have this outstanding professional to lead the college’s division of student affairs and to serve as our dean of students,” said Olson. “Dr. Nayor has a demonstrated track record of outstanding service to students and a consistent commitment to diversity. I look forward to working with him as a key part of the leadership team at Daemen College.”

Nayor currently serves as assistant vice president for student affairs and dean of students at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.  Previously, he was dean of student development at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Va., and director of residence life at Lynchburg College in Virginia.

Nayor earned a bachelor’s degree in history and secondary education and a master’s degree in education from the SUNY Potsdam, and a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Virginia.

“I am honored to join the Daemen community,” said Nayor. “Clearly, the college is on the move to new levels of prominence, and I am excited about being a part of that effort.”
