AMHERST, N.Y. -- The film work of Daemen College senior animation majors will be featured at the first-ever Industry Night celebration hosted by the International Center for Excellence in Animation (ICEA) from 6 to 9 p.m. May 5 at ICEA located in the Tri-Main Center, 2495 Main St., Buffalo.

Featured student work by Kira Dennis, Emily Harding, Michael Liotta, and Kirstie Storrs will be presented. The films will highlight each student’s skills, training and artistry developed since coming into the program.

The event will also highlight works by the inaugural group of visual effects certificate graduates, many of whom are currently working at Empire VFX, which is in partnership with Daemen to train visual effects specialists. Their reels will exhibit skills in the areas of rotoscoping, matchmoving, 2D-3D conversion, paint and rig removal, and compositing.

Daemen’s ICEA Industry Night is free and open to the public.
