Veetai Li, M.D., to Speak at Daemen College on “Life After Surgery”

Dr. Veetai Li, Pediatric Neurosurgeon with Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and University at Buffalo Neurosurgery, will speak at Daemen College on “Life After Surgery.” Dr. Li’s talk will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011, and is free and open to the public. Dr. Li will speak in Wick Center Social Room on the Daemen College campus, 4380 Main Street, in Amherst.

Dr. Li’s appearance at Daemen is co-sponsored by The Thomas Reynolds Center for Special Education at Daemen College and Parent Network of WNY.
Dr. Li will discuss life after surgery and how to be an informed patient, parent, or family member. He will also talk about how to learn what your doctor really needs to know at follow-up appointments. In addition, basic information regarding hydrocephalus/shunt failure and brain tumor information will be provided.
Theresa Drum, from Parent Network of WNY will share communication tips and provide information about available services, in addition to explaining how you can find out who you, as a patient or family member, can call for help.
