WNY Peace Center Coffeehouse will offer details on Guatemala Projects January 21

The Latin America Solidarity Committee of the Western New York Peace Center will present its January 2013 Coffeehouse, “Guatemala Projects,” 7-9 p.m., Monday, January 21, in Wick Center at Daemen College, 4380 Main Street, in Amherst. It is free and open to the public.  

 

            The presentation will offer results of a recently completed study of Heifer International’s on-the-ground projects aimed at creating opportunity and relieving hunger in Guatemala. Heifer International’s mission is to work with communities around the world to end hunger and poverty.

 

           The coffeehouse will offer a detailed look at the projects, and the communities Heifer International works with (www.heifer.org).
