Winners in Annual All-High Art Exhibition at Daemen College Announced

            The Daemen College Fine & Graphic Arts Department has announced the students who received top awards as well as Honorable Mentions in the 2010 All-High Art Exhibition, held at Daemen February 6, in the Fanette Goldman/Carolyn Greenfield Gallery on the Daemen campus in Amherst. Each year, the competition is open to all high school juniors and seniors.

  

            Students whose work was judged best in each of eight categories, or Honorable Mention, received Daemen scholarships. Top prize winners also received cash awards sponsored by Hyatt's All Things Creative and the Buffalo Society of Artists.

  

            The All-High Art Exhibition will run through Saturday, March 6, 2010, and is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Thursday evenings 7-9 p.m.; and Saturdays 12-4 p.m.  The Fanette Goldman-Carolyn Greenfield Gallery is located in Duns Scotus Hall, 4380 Main Street, in Amherst.

Bethany Zakrzewski -- Clarence High School: BEST IN SHOW: $3,000 scholarship/$150 cash from Hyatt’s

 

Kelsey Merkle  -- Clarence High School: BEST DRAWING: $2,000 scholarship/$100  Hyatt's

 

Stephen Grimm -- St. Joe's: BEST GRAPHIC DESIGN: $2,000 scholarship/$100 Hyatt's

 

Aleah Fierele -- Sweet Home: BEST NEW MEDIA: $2,000 scholarship/$100 Hyatt's

 

Kaley Wasielenski -- North Tonawanda: BEST PAINTING: $2,000 scholarship/$100 Hyatt's

 

Shannon Winney -- Akron High School: BEST PHOTOGRAPH: $2,000 scholarship/ $100  Hyatt's

 

Adam Swift  -- Lewiston-Porter: BEST PRINT: $2,000 scholarship/ $100 Hyatt's

 

Hannah Bronstein  -- Kemore East: BEST THREE-DIMENSIONAL WORK:$2,000 scholarship/ $100 from Hyatt's
