This year Women's History Month at Daemen College will feature a variety of events for the month of March, plus some bonus events in April!
They include:
A Mary Daly brown bag lunch, with discussion led by Dr. Shawn Kelley, chair, Daemen Department of Philosophy and Religion, this Friday, March 5, from 12:30 to 1:15, RIC 101.
The film, "Klute," with commentary by Dr. Shirley Peterson, associate professor of English, on Monday, March 8, from 7:30 -10:00 p.m., Wick Center (part of the Daemen Film Series).
The documentary, "Cover Girl Culture: Awakening the Media Generation" with commentary by Dr. Penny Messinger, associate professor of history and government, on Friday, March 26, from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m., Alumni Lounge.
"Women Who Rock" theme dinner with performance by Maria Sebastian on Wednesday, April 7, from 4 till 7 in Wick Center Dining Room ($7.95
for non-Daemen residents).
The film, "Working Girl," with discussion by Dr. Shawn Kelley (open classroom), on Wednesday, April 7, from 7 until 9:45, Schenck 107.
The film, "Erin Brockovich" with discussion led by Dr. Laurie Walsh, chair, Daemen Department of History and Government, on Wednesday April 14, from 7 until 9:45, Schenck 107.
"Professionalism: Position Yourself for Success!" discussion with businesswoman and Daemen Trustee Kathryn Karlic, Monday, April 19, 5 – 6 p.m., Alumni Lounge (sponsored by the Co-Op & Career Development Office).
