AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College has been selected for the eighth consecutive year as a College of Distinction as one of the best colleges in the nation for students to learn, grow and succeed.

“We are pleased to receive this prestigious national distinction again this year,” said Daemen President Gary A. Olson. “This award underscores that Daemen is among the best colleges in the country in its dedication to students’ success and to providing an engaging, active college environment at an affordable price.”

As a 2015-16 College of Distinction, Daemen has been honored for its exemplary commitment to student engagement, great teaching, creating a vibrant campus community, and successful outcomes.

Colleges of Distinction provides students, counselors and parents with information about colleges that excel in key areas of educational quality. Selected institutions take a holistic approach to admissions decisions, consistently excel in providing an undergraduate education, and have a truly national reputation.

“This acknowledgement confirms to the college-bound community that Daemen excels at what matters: providing a teaching-centered undergraduate education that combines innovative learning programs with experiential educational opportunities,” noted Wes Creel, founder of Colleges of Distinction. “A College of Distinction cultivates graduates who are well-rounded, successful citizens with the capacity to contribute to their communities, their nation and the world.”
